How is Pay Frequency determined by iJoin?
How does iJoin determine the # of pay periods (pay frequency) to use for a plan and participant?
iJoin attempts to pull pay frequency related information directly from Relius.
The hierarchy for the Relius data is as follows:
1. iJoin determines the plan level # of pay periods during a Plan Sync based on the Employer.PAYFREQCD value provided to us by Relius for the plan being processed. If the plan level PAYFREQCD is ‘V” and there are multiple pay frequency schedules for the plan in Relius, then iJoin will store the most frequent pay frequency schedule provided by Relius.
2. During a Participant Sync iJoin will retrieve entries from the PAYROLL table, filtered by Relius plan ID and SSN and store the PAYFREQCD provided by Relius on the participant’s record in iJoin. If more than one PAYFREQCD value is returned from Relius, iJoin will use the most frequent value provided. If there are no participant level PAYFREQCD values, then iJoin will use the plan level value that was retried during the last Plan Sync for the plan.
Note: iJoin will pull entries from Relius for the most recent 3 month period when determining the most frequent pay period for the participant.
