RTQ FAQs

What does RTQ mean?

Risk Tolerance Questionnaire

Where do I create an RTQ?

The RTQ questions and answers with point values are established in the Plan Settings tab of the Advisor Portal.

The RTQ is added to the Plan in the Plan Details / Investment Paths tab. See Setup A Risk Tolerance Questionnaire

Where is an example of an RTQ?

To see the iJoin Default RTQ see iJoin Default Risk Tolerance Questionnaire

Do you have an example of a typical scoring methodology?

A typical scoring methodology is as follows;

  • Conservative: score of 3 to 6
  • Moderately Conservative: Score of 7 to 11
  • Moderate: Score of 12 to 16
  • Moderately Aggressive: Score of 17 - 21
  • Aggressive: Score of 22 to 25

What does the Plan need to have in setup for the RTQ option to become available?

In order for the Risk Score Fund Path (Help Me Choose) to be available to choose on a Plan, the Enrollment Experience Type on the Plan Details / Enrollment Setup tab must be set to  iJoin Standard.

For more information on Plan Defaults and Plan Setup in iJoin see Add New Plans

For more information on Enrollment Experience Type settings see What Is Enrollment Experience Type?

For more information on Investment Paths see Setup Investment Paths

Can I customize the RTQ?

Yes. You can customize the questions, answers, point values, categories, funds and allocations.

How many questions can I add to an RTQ?

There is no limit but our recommendation is no more than 20 for a quick and easy enrollment process.

What is the maximum number of answers I can have under one question?

There is no limit but we recommend no more than 4.

Can I integrate our current RTQ program or another outside tool into your RTQ?

No. We have configured an easy and successful algorithm for understanding someone's risk tolerance. We believe there is no need for an additional tool that will prolong the enrollment process.
